Shower Head and Bath Filtration in Flint, MI

Shower Head and Bath Filtration in Flint, MI

If you do not have whole house water filtration yet, a shower filter is a small step that targets the place many people notice chlorine most. Flint, MI Whole House Water Filtration installs shower and bath filters in Flint, MI homes as a stand-alone fix or as part of a phased plan.

Shower filters face a tough job: hot water and very short contact time. Standard carbon does little in those conditions. The media that work better here are KDF, which handles free chlorine in hot water, and vitamin C cartridges, which neutralize both chlorine and chloramine quickly.

We install inline filters between the shower arm and the head, or filtered heads with built-in cartridges. Thread tape on the arm and a hand-tight connection stop most drips. Older shower arms sometimes crack at the threads when you change heads, so we check them first.

Shower cartridges typically last a few months depending on use. The water will start to smell of chlorine again when it is time.

For homes that want filtered water at every fixture, a whole house system eventually costs less per gallon than several shower filters.
